Fresh shrimp right from the gulf. They close early so get there early to choose from fresh fish selection. Pick up some noodles, buy some of the shrimp/crab au gratin, and a pound of shrimp. Mix all together - delicious! Not the friendliest bunch, but you won't go wrong with the fresh seafood!

No better seafood ANYWHERE....and no better people than the Skinners. I've been buying cooked & raw seafood from them for years on Dauphin Island...sometimes in small quantities and sometimes in rather large quantities. I have never had a bad experience with Skinners. In fact - it has always been superb!!

Fabulous, really fresh seafood steamed with spices with great side orders made a wonderful meal for our group our last night in Dauphin Island! Royal red shrimp was so good with the spicy seasoning and the black pepper garlic seasoning. Side order of conecuh sausage was very tasty. Scallops were HUGE and very, very good. Just call in the order and drive down and your meal is ready! They close at 6 (really at 5:45) so order early!

They have a great local seafood selection. Don't expect to go in and sit down for a meal, but they will steam anything for you as you wait. I had a pound of royal reds! Steamed in house they came with corn on the cob and potatoes. After a very short wait it was ready. I took it down the street and enjoyed my dinner on the beach. Shrimp and soft shell crab so good that I have 10 lbs in the car coming back!

Got a few pounds of shrimp for a family meal a few days ago and it was great! We cooked all the shrimp with potatoes, corn, sausage, garlic, and onion and it was fabulous!

Skinner's has the absolute best tasting, most fresh, seafood around. We went last weekend for a pound of garlic pepper shrimp, a pound of mild shrimp, corn on the cob, and some crawfish. They also had some soft-shelled blue crab among other things. This is a family owned and run business and they are about the friendliest people you are going to meet. They were ready and willing to give great tips on how to cook up the crab and fish I'd caught that morning as well. You cannot visit this island, or Alabama for that matter, without stopping in here to grab a bite!

Stopped at Skinner's while staying on DI, great place to get fresh seafood. Can't say the staff was all that friendly or helpful, but they do steam it for you with whatever kind of seasoning you want. Reasonably priced, we purchased 3lbs of shrimp, 6 ears of corn and a pound of potatoes for around $50, which fed a family of 5.

Great food! When on vacation, we picked up some shrimp one day to bring home and cook, then ordered take out two other times getting red snapper, snow crab and more shrimp. Loved it reach time. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Ordered black pepper garlic shrimp. They were pretty good. Also had some red snapper that we grilled back at the condo. Cole slaw was alright. Kind of spicy. On second trip we got some snow crab that was really good and large. Will go back again.

The shrimp plate is prepared mild, medium or spicy and comes steamed with plenty of shrimp, a half cob of corn and a couple of red potatoes. It's absolutely the thing you want to be eating after a hot, sunny day by on the beach! The people in the shop were really friendly and helpful and it certainly seemed to be a family affair with folks of all ages behind the counter! I enjoyed the frenetic pace of the dinner pick up rush and felt like I was experiencing a real bit of life in the Mobile Bay!

Every time we vacation on the Island I drop in here for a lb of steamed extra large shrimp every other day. I go with the medium spice and grab some of the Louisiana Cocktail Sauce. Very reasonably priced and nice folks. Sand in your toes and shrimp peels on the table is good for the soul. Thank you Skinners for doing it right!!

This shrimp is AMAZING and so are the folks. They are so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The seafood is so super fresh because THEY JUST BROUGHT IT IN FROM THE GULF!! We always have them steam it for us because they do it perfectly every time. Then when it's time to drive back home after our DI stay, Skinners' packs up the gorgeous shrimp in coolers for us so that it's just as fresh when we get back to Atlanta. The lucky friends to whom we have served this yummy loot have gone crazy with compliments and just can't get enough. Neither can we!

We rented a beach house on Dauphin Island and had the pleasure or ordering food from Skinner's. We had grouper, snapper, scallops, and shrimp. The food was fresh and delicious. This was some of the best seafood I have ever had.

After a disappointing meal at another establishment, we called in an order at Skinner's Seafood for the next evening. The man who took my order over the phone was great. Friendly and answered all of my questions. We selected blue crab claws, shrimp and sausage. They steam it for you and you pick it up. We could not believe how good the food tasted. We probably looked like locust attacking crops as quickly as we were trying everything. Portions were huge(in a good way). We liked this place so much we are going to go there again before we leave. If you want the freshest fish, go to Skinner's Seafood.

You cannot find a better place to buy fresh seafood - not to mention that the Skinners are great folks. This is truly a family business - from catching it to selling it to cooking it. If I have a crowd at the last minute - a quick call to Skinner's gets me as much fresh steamed shrimp as I need. I've lived on Dauphin Island over 20 years and we are SO GRATEFUL to have a place like Skinners to get our seafood. You would be amazed at how difficult getting consistently good, fresh seafood was on Dauphin Island until Skinners opened!!

Holey moley! Fresh caught seafood doesn't get any better. A simple no frills seafood shop. They feel what they caught that day plus some other fish and meat and seasonings. Got the fresh shrimp everyday. Loved the flounder too! Would highly recommend the fresh crab meat. Yum yum yum! Good prices to boot. If you are staying on the island I would recommend giving them a try. They also will cut the fish up for you.

We go to DI every year and always eat out of skinners. order steamed seafood for an easy meal, or stop by and pick out something fresh to cook. nothing like good fresh fish and seafood.
